Ron Bush

Hi, I'm a writer and have completed 3 novels. I am working on a 4th right now which I hope to finish and publish in 2011.
My rock 'n roll novels are set in 1958 and are about a gang of teddy boys, their motorbikes and the girls they pursued.

In the 1st novel (Heil, Heil, Rock 'n Roll! and no, this is not a typo.) we also see the influence that rock n roll had on teenagers, a disturbing new breed. In this book a former member of the Hitler Youth, brought to Britain after the war against his wishes, takes control of the gang with devastating consequences. Apart from the murders, much of the story is based on my memories of these years. Issues are dealt with that show the different values and intolerance that existed in postwar Britain. Readers interested in social history would find this book captivating. (Please read the feedback left for this book on Amazon.)

The second novel, (Is there life after rock 'n roll?) is difficult to explain without revealing the ending of the first one. It explores the effect that some members of the gang's previous actions have on them all. (More tears and laughter for the reader.)

My third novel, Cordelia, is entirely different. This one is set in America during 1972 and deals with a woman who has delusions of being a mother. This is impossible as, apart from the trauma she suffered at her father's hands, she has never had any physical relationships with men. Her abduction of children she believes to be her own brings down the wrath of their parents. To add to her predicament she is stalked by a rich sexual pervert who employs a detective to work for him. A disturbing story. Her belief in fairies started her downward spiral, but unlike fairy tales not all stories have a happy ending.
